Dr. G. Scott Williamson |

Dr. Williamson
is a native Georgian raised in South Fulton County. He attended the University of
Georgia as a chemistry/pre-optometry major. After completing three years at Georgia,
he received early admission to the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of
Optometry. Dr. Williamson received his B.S. degree in physiological optics in
1987. In 1989, he received his Doctor of Optometry degree graduating cum laude.
For the next two years, he worked in several optometry and ophthalmology practices
in the Atlanta area. Then he returned home to establish his own practice in
South Metro in 1991. In March 1994, he moved the practice to its current location
in Tyrone.
Dr. Williamson is a member of many professional associations including the
American Optometric Association, Georgia Optometric Association, American Optometric
Association Contact Lens Section, and the American Public Health Association.
Dr. Williamson currently resides in Fayetteville with his wife and three children.
He is actively involved in the community. He is a member of the Fayetteville
Rotary club and a board member of the Fayette County Youth Football Association.
He coaches several youth sports including baseball, football, basketball, and
wrestling. |
